Tourament Rules 4/11/15
Annual Capt Lee Noga’s “Hunt For Shrimpzilla” end of season Oak Hill river tourney.
Capt Lee Noga is about having fun and she came up with a tourney that levels the playing field and takes away any advantages that would give somebody an edge. The winner will be drawn via a ticket based system. It takes 1 ticket to win, and the odds are winning are even for everyone!
This will be a FREE Lottery-style Tournament where we will draw tickets to determine the winners. This tourney is for Volusia County waters only to include Edgewater, NSB and Oak Hill/Lopez.
- You have to dip the shrimp and CANNOT enter shrimp caught in a box net.
- In event of rain while on river, tournament continues, in the event of lightening, come to weigh in immediately. Call Capt Frank with any rulings (386)690-4761
- You must be present to win at the drawing.
- If many decide to not weigh in and few buckets weigh in, prize amounts will be reduced.
- One prize per bucket, the winner has the option of passing up his prize in order to be eligible for the other prizes. A new winner will be drawn if prize is forfeited.
- You can use your frame net to collect shrimp you want to take home but do not weigh any box net shrimp caught into the tourney
- We will award 1 ticket for every 1/2 gallon shrimp you enter at weigh station
- Example – 1 gallon is awarded 2 tickets, 5 gallons = 10 tickets
- You automatically are awarded a ticket for a min of a dozen caught
- The more shrimp you weigh in the more tickets you earn
- White, Brown and Pink shrimp only can be weighed in (NO Mantis or Asian Tiger)
- You can shrimp Edgewater and the tides change earlier and end before midnight. You still have to weigh in at RB boat ramp before 2am
- You cannot enter in any shrimp caught in Brevard
- Commercial anglers are not eligible to enter unless they dip only.
- Staff will be at the weigh in station at 12:30am by the bathrooms
- Call Capt Frank with questions 386-690-4761 or email him at captfrankB@hotmail.com
