For now, I am showing the comparison between the 2 most common types of shrimp we catch in Edgewater and Oak Hill. These two shrimp are the brown shrimp and the pink shrimp. The brown shrimp has more of an iodine content, hence the smell when you open your container of shrimp once home. The pink shrimp have longer antennae, and they can sense your dip net right before you net them. They are known to "spook" right before you net them, and it is NOT that they spooked, it is more a case of they felt your net ahead of time with those long antennae.
