SOMEONE wrote:Say what ????? Are you kidding me? NO NO NO.... this is bad advice. Very incomplete advice to tell a new shrimper. This is where NOT to set up.... to NOT setup in front of the commercial guys!!! I read this somewhere, I really hope this person meant far far away from them, and not just in front of them like it reads.Go setup @ RiverBreeze and try anywhere in front of the commercial guys
DO NOT ANCHOR UP IN FRONT OF A COMMERCIAL BOAT OR ANY OTHER BOAT FOR THAT MATTER. If you do, you are asking for a game of leap frog, and anger and rage..... I've been there, done it and seen it..... these commercial guys have been out there all year, in wing nets when allowed, in regular boats when the wingnets are not allowed with just a boxnet and dipnet like us "sporties". There are about 9 or 10 regular guys in the area that do it winter, spring, summer and fall.... it's their living. Let's remember, that. WE are having fun and just trying to fill a bucket. (except for the few here that do bait n sell bait that hold special licenses). Don't cut them off or anyone else for that matter by anchoring in their stream of shrimp ..... and yes, a stream can go quite a ways in front of them.....and behind them.
I'd like a front sticker that says..... if your above my anchor your too close! LOL or .... if I can hear you fart you are too close......

Just a friendly seasonal shrimping reminder from LilMissShrimper as we prepare for attack on the almighty crustacean
