Impressive haul Bogman.  I would love to have a take like that.

I am using 5 traps that I soak ( leave in the water before checking) for 3 or 4 days.  I work an area from Port Orange to New Smyrna Beach. I have been moving the traps about every other week looking for productive area's.  This has been a learning experience for me.  I have seemed to have had some un-wanted help at times and I "lost" one of the traps for a week, but for the most part it have been good.  I am hoping to find about a half dozen good drop area to work so that I don't clean out an area.

With Lobsters you can clean an area out pretty fast so it's always good to keep hopping around.
I'm sure Stoners would be similar.
I've got one more year before retirement and then I'll be setting traps in the NSB area.
I have no experience with Stone Crabs and have only caught one, small, in a Blue Crab trap!

I retired the end of last year.  Got into shrimping and now stoning. I'm learning with lots of help from the fine people on this site, and enjoying ever minute of it.  Paula is even enjoying the meals that we are putting on the table, as well as I am.  

When you are in the area, give me a shout and we can get together.  I live in Deltona, about a 45 min. run to the coast. It's always good to meet another waterman.
