I have a couple questions regarding when to shrimp:
I have seen over the years some reports of cast netting during the day into pods of shrimp in the ICW... are there times this is actually doable for the recreational shrimper? My other question is: Do the shrimp run only at night during an outgoing tide, or do they run on all outgoing tides... and we just can't see them during the day and that is why everyone goes out in the evening? I seem to see shrimp boats off the coast during the days and nights and therefore thought that maybe they do migrate out the inlet on both tides. Aha!!! That just gave me another question... where are all these shrimp going that are headed north from Melbourne-to-Titusville-to-Oak Hill-to-Edgewater and north???? Are they headed out Ponce Inlet? And if so, why are there not a lot of shrimpers dipping at the mouth of the inlet?
