Sea Worthy Posts: 14 04/01/11 02:45 AM	There's a few Shrimpers still shrimping the pier. Not too many posting! My last time out a few nights ago I got a gallon of mediums and large. A few weeks ago everyone on the pier took home 5 gallons. The shrimp ran deep and would dive. If you could find a good bubble line then you were onto the motherload. But it's as good as gold on some nights!

I'm not saying it's a piece of cake but I still have fun. If you think you could and just don't have a boat maybe we could work something out. I hope to get out a few more times and there might be times when I'm alone. If your interested let me know and I'll get you a number to call me.

Sea Worthy Posts: 76 04/06/11 06:32 PM - 1 Limits 2011	James Bond, shrimping is a heck of a lot of fun and it's healthy mentally and physically. Don't let being semi-disabled keep ypu off the water. I have a pontoon and sometimes go out alone. From my pontoon you can shrimp sitting down, PM me if you would be interested sometime.. Thats what we're here for "enjoyment of shrimping".

With the gas prices like they , are I can not afford to go over to titusville every night . I live in west orange county . I've heard that they run when the waters hot , cold , waters going south , waters going north , with the moon , without the moon , shrimping is over for the year , their just fixin' to start !!!! Can someone give me some good info ? Thanks...............I have caught em' in the past but was younger and more persistant .

Posts: 2656 04/13/11 01:41 PM S.E. Fla. Regional Coordinator - 1 Limits 2011	In a word - NO! Oops - belay that - Yes - the shrimp can tell you when the season is! Do you speak shrimp?? Excuse my feeble attempt at humor but the truth is - only the shrimp know for sure. Based on history - the Edgewater and Oak Hill season is winding down now. This doesn't mean its over but it is past its peak. Titusville - the railroad bridge and Haulover are a couple of weeks behind Oak Hill most years, so they should have the rest of this month before they fade. South Brevard - where I live - is 2 or 3 weeks after Titusville and is still (I hope) on the upswing. And - the shrimp can always change their minds!! Posts: 1096 04/14/11 04:51 AM - 6 Limits 2012 - 16 Limits 2011	I have seen the shrimp run at this bridge starting Sep and Picks up in Nov. The peak around the bridge is Mar and April. This place seems to need a good breeze to move the shrimp good. North or south winds helps get the current going and the shrimp swimming here. I am not a big fan of how they put the lights on the new pier, The shine so far out it kinda messes up the dark area next to the pier edge. The shrimp around here are big all year and some can be caught year round if the moon and wind is good. Ps Has anyone seen Spraymans battey pack light juice set up? He uses a start charge system that is made to jump start your car in case of emergecy. This is a dry cel system I think and could be used on the pier for LEDgreenies. It only weighs about 5 pds and should run a couple LEDs for 4 hrs.. Just thought I would pass this along as they got rules against wet cell batterys on that new pier. Unless you want to pay for the A/C this would be the cheep easy light sorce on the pier.. Good luck.... You just got to go to know, crap another Jumbo just went under the boat.
