But, to some this is a real pain in the tail process and not everyone owns nor wants to own a pressure washer. At Walgreen's, for $19.95 is the "Water jet" [as seen on TV], it attached to your water hose and comes with 2 nozzles [thin power stream and wide nozzle], the second brass nozzle is stored on the want near the top. This gadget cleaned my frame net right up after being brought home a dark filthy chocolate slimey color. This is a great alternative to the pressure washer and removing bugs off your cars. Posts: 7778 03/10/11 04:31 PM Captain USCG Licensed NEW SMYRNA DELTONA	I have used a electric & gas pressure washer and I have used this Walgreen's wand and it cleaned my net great. It took maybe 10 mins longer NOT using pressure washer but that extra 10 mins using the wand is what it would have taken me to get out the pressure washer and put it away time so I did not mind. I used the nozzle on it, and did not find the wide spray nozzle until I was done. It is that brass thing near the hose end. My net was filthy beyond and stunk of iodine, and it was nice and white hanging on my house drying in 15 mins. I laid it on driveway. Learned a long time ago not to chase every leaf or seaweed clinger on it...they dry and fall out....I just do not want the stink and slime on the net. My net was white when I was done and it is 4 years old. I am not overly anal when I am gonna use it again real soon.... I plan to keep this at my boathouse for washings there where there is no room to keep a pressure washer and I do not want to go that route. They are plastic and work like a charm to clean the frame nets. They are very cheap to buy and send out a jet steam that cleans very quickly. It attaches to the end of the hose and looks like a cone that comes to a point. I had bought this to clean my pool filter but found it works just a well for the frame net. I mentioned a similar nozzle in Deb's initial thread asking about cleaning frame nets. Ace Hardware (Titusville) sells the jet nozzles for $0.99 each. I have two older brass ones that I bought while I was still in the Midwest. Their only downside is that they have a fixed "jet" stream setting which is sometimes too concentrated. I clean my nets with a gas pressure washer while I clean my boat and trailer, so I haven't tried the nozzles on a net. Titusville

Posts: 2021 03/10/11 07:23 PM - 4 Limits 2011	Awesome, it would be nice to have one of those at the house and keep it in the boat or truck. I've been going to the salty dog and washing everything down there, I don't like leaving it all salty overnight (at least the trailer) or dealing with that junk at the house late at night. The down side is the min to use the pressure washer at the car wash is $2. But they also have a flush hose that runs for 4 min for $.50, but no nozzle (you use your own ears or flush port). If I had one of these I could do the little boat for a buck all on the flush hose. Then do the gear at the house at the house with it the next day. I may have to get one! Edgewater

I put the box net and dippers on the driveway, make up a bucket of water, oxy clean and soap, hose them down, do a quick scrub with the brush and rinse . Seems to work really well. Does anybody know if soap and oxy clean can hurt the mesh on the nets???

Salt does more damage for dry rot than soap will do cleaning it. The reason I do not want to do garden nozzle is because I do not want to bend over to get a strong stream in a spot. The wand is 2.5 ft long and is point and shoot for trouble areas. It is great to hear how others clean their frame nets. I am real pleased how this works but I also have good water pressure too. My hands (along with the rest of me) has arthritis setting in pretty bad, and holding on to things for long periods seems to hurt like heck! My hands did not hurt when I was finished and the results were GREAT !!! I used the fan nozzle on it... at a fairly close range.... the net is white...
