About 12 are so years ago. I had a cast net 6' er. I think I got it at K-mart. hehe Anyway I got a new one This month. I don't have alot of money to spend on stuff like that, but i did want a better one then the one I had before. So instead of going to wal-mart and paying $30 something for it. I when to a bait store in CC and spend $ 60 on what I thought was a better net. It's put out by a co. called AHI USA. Which I thought was cool, buy America. Well, It's made in China. I have nothing against people from China or anywhere esle for that matter. But you would think they could tie a 
knot. I had to repair it 3 times. The lines that runs down the inside of the horn to the bottom of the net just come untied. Which sucks for a net that has less then 50 cast on it. Finally I set down and retied all the lines and cut the tagges off the ends of the line. Which they also didn't do. To be fair the net webbing itself seems good and the rope which is 30 ft. seems to be good stuff too. I guess time will tell. Just thought I would pass this along. If your looking for a new net, I would look somewhere other then AHI- China.
