That sucks! Dont worry if you get the trailer going at least- invest in a trolling motor or some oars when the Shrimp start running usually in Oct. I will put you on some.They will only run maybe 4-5 nights but they will be good size.Nov will see 5-7 night per month run Dec 8-10. While Jan through May can be staple months,with March/April at Seasons peak. Last year was the Best season I have seen in years! I have kept a waterproof Journal for shrimping and fishing for area's Brevard to St johns county over the last 20 years incase i forgot where when and how i caught fish/Shrimp. The shrimp have been running up in Matanzas but thats 50mi to the north. Not to bad for me considering i go to Riverbreeze which is 25-30 mi. i just chalk it up to 2 more gallons of gas and 30 more min each way. Im sure its a little more of drive for you though.
Get a Battery (Deep cycle) and a 12 v 50w halogen light. walmart carries them for about 14bucks.

There are green lights they sell through the site here they say work pretty good, most people who use them usually get more limits.
