This is a second-hand report, but I can assure its validity. This is from a friend I shrimped all summer with last summer and he makes the drive from Orlando to get some free food.
Arrived at 8ish pm. Fishing with 8 traps (him and his bro-n-law). Slow night overall. No wind = no current. He stayed till 5am. He says he barely broke 100 shrimps for the night. Most were large shrimps but no jumbos. Lots of mosquitos and lots of muggyness he said. Hard night feeeshin for shrimp. Im hoping it turns on soon, my freezer is getting low...
