Well, we went out last night to 8 and set up on the eas
t side in about 10' of water. Water temp was 65.6 with a north wind. Pretty okay strenght for the tide. Partly cloudy sky. We caught 12 large shrimp in about 3 hours. 5he dolphins were in arms reach of the boat and playing around like crazy. I think they were celebrating st. Pattis day early. Now we fished also and caught 1 blue crab, he was a biggin'. I bought a few crab traps at an auction yesterday and they made their maden voage last night. We caught about 7 blue crabs. Now I just have to figure out how to cook them and what parts to eat. :)

I was planning on going out Saturday, but now my newbie brother in law is here and is able to go out on Friday. With the wind being what is I am very hesitant. I am after all in search of elusive 8" shrimp. Honestly being how new I am to this, I still only know of Riverbreeze to launch from, and then a few markers north or south to go to. If anyone would feel up to sharing a good spot for a newbie that would be great. He is going to want to just catch a bunch, even if they are little. He will learn. I call him my little grasshopper. Give him a few times of going out, and he will be after the big ones too. Good luck all.
