N.S. pier 2/1

It wasn't a real productive night, and I don't normally count my catch but I was surprised by the

number of white shrimp that I caught, out of 48 shrimp 14 of them were white shrimp and all of them

were larger than the reds and browns that I caught. The white shrimp are on the right in the pic.

8/12/11 Granada pier and sunrise park

Being the day before the full moon. I didn't think I would have a good night and I was right. But I haven't gone in three week's. So about an hour and a half at both places got. 0 shrimp at both places. There's this guy at Granada, I see everytime I go. He told me no shrimp in three week's. So I guess I didn't miss anything. Well, maybe next week.

I went to Sunrise Park tonight right before high tide at around 9:30. There were lots of fishermen fishing at the lights on the big pier. Consequently, I had to throw at a less than ideal spot. I caught 0. I don't know how the fishermen did.

Went to park on 7/17 and 7/18 around 9pm. Slow going at first, about a hour after tide change to in coming,shrimp started showing up. Threw only a 5 foot net for about 2 hours and got about 120 med few large and threw the small ones back to grow more.There were only a few people there.met a couple there throwing for the first time and did well and are addicted yo shrimping.

The shrimp must have not read my post about going shrimping. Zero shrimp. Got to reading posts from last year seems it didn't turn on until middle of August. So must be too early for up there. Best part was I met some people from the site. Reeladjustment, his wife and two sons. We bs'ed for awhile about boats, fishing and shrimping. Nice people. Landlocked stop by as well and joined in.(other good guy). The Shrimping and fishing reports are cool. But, the people on this site is what makes it special. We were leaveing and Landlocked told me that They were getting some shrimp at Sunrise park In Holly hill. So I stopped by. Got 12 shrimp in an hour, then It went to slack tide and I went home. All and all a fun night.

They got the message last night, but they were late and backwards. Lights in the water at 6:30
dipping was slow on the outgoing, had barely enough to cover the bottom of the bucket at the end
of the tide. 5 minutes into slack tide large mediums and larges started popping up from all directions.
It continued like this for 1 1/2 to 2 hours of the incoming. There was one other guy shrimping and
suddenly we were scrambling to pull our lights from the North side of the pier and move them to the
specialist, Big Shrimp and myself assaulted the pier tonight hoping the shrimp would
give an encore performance of the way they ran Thursday night. WELL somebody
forgot to give the shrimp the message, sizes and quantity were way off, a lot of
smalls, the 3 of us combined might have had a gallon.
HMMM!!! whatcha think 1 quart?

What a party!!!! Lee Noga.com pretty much owned the pier, specialist,Big Shrimp and his son and
myself werebusy chasing bugs when rogue 17 and his son & sons girlfriend & anglermanagement showed
up to join the festivities, unfortunately phoreel and slammingjack couldn't make it, we missed you guys.
