Area of a 10' net 315 sqft areaof a 12' net 453sqft<br>So 2 foot increase = 138 sqft.&nbsp; Thats if you can open it. An 8' net 202.<br>The Wal-Mart special 6'net 114. So double the 6' Wal-Mart net and its almost <br>4 TIMES the area.<img src="http://leenoga.com/domain/bypass/images/thumbsup.gif" height="18" width="25"> <br>Now I'm going to harp on it One More Time get the 11/4"&nbsp;stretch net to get <br>a better Quality of shrimp. <p>Two small ones 3' long by 1' wide by 1' high. Then two 3' long by 2' wide by 1' high<img src="http://images.yuku.com/image/jpg/119367f06fda7f3868f100b8109c33b14e598d9b_r.jpg"></p><p><br>You can see my tags in some of the pic's. Little pieces of wood painted white. Used address labels&nbsp;covered with clear shipping tape. There are also a small door that lifts up. To get the shrimp out.&nbsp; Use a rubber band with a S hook to hold it open or closed. Ok here we go.. If you look closely you will see small gray&nbsp;U clamps inside the traps. The mail arrived today, and LOOKIE...........the new generation LED Greenie PRO Series.<br><br>This takes my breath away. WOW, hardly describes my excitement over this light. The light was brought to market 4 months ago, and NiteOwl already developed the light taking it to the next level. <br><br>Where to start....<br><br>The housing is 4 inches longer..and is a robust 15 inches overall, the light cord is proprietary and has the LEDGreenie name printed every so many inches on the cord. The clips are rugged and solid copper. 			<description><![CDATA[ I was in Oak hill over the weekend. Stopped by this bait shop. They had dip nets and all kinds of traps. Dip nets were different from what I have seem as far as the hoops or heads were not on the poles. They had three different poles one 10 ft, one that was two parts and the other was three parts( looked cheap). Looked liked you buy the hoop and then the pole for it. Best to call I guess. Anyway on US1 just north of Maytown rd. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I have seen a few questions about traps on the board so I thought I would post a couple of pics from some traps I just built.&nbsp; An old timer I work with gave me a trap to copy. I also built two cheap flourescent lights with peanut butter jars, extension cords, 400 watt inverter and silicone. &nbsp;I am looking for some sort of better container for the bulbs and if you have any ideas let me know. <br><img height="480" src="http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/4f616e5549043f39a200d47362ef01974589441c.pjpg" width="640">

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Great website, first post.&nbsp; All kinds of great information about shrimping.&nbsp; Want to try this weekend although i know it is late in the season and the water is warming.&nbsp; We are down by JB's but would probably trailer to Edgewater around 7 pm Friday night and anchor there south along the ICW for action.&nbsp; Anyway this is what i got from other posts.&nbsp; Question, don't want to spring for the mega equipment yet.&nbsp; Trying to find a couple of cheap lights to hang over the side (like i did when i was a kid) and a couple of nets that will work.&nbsp; Does anybody rent this stuff?&nbsp; Is there stores in the Orlando to New Smyrna area that might have this equipment used or on sale?&nbsp; i appreciate any help i can get. </p> ]]></description>

You can dim the LED's or turn the lights on and off with a "boop" of a button AFTER deployment!<br><br>Guys, you no longer have to be without a REMOTE while on the water! A remote the wife won't fight ya for!<br><br>I had my camera phone and tried to capture the dimming of the LED light. NiteOwl was demo'ing this at the flea market in Oak Hill. I went to visit them and accidentally stumbled up on this. I knew this was coming but I did not know it was a reality.<br><br>Why would you want a dimmer? Some people like to dip in shallow water during incoming tide, or they like to dip in shallow water period. Busting loose 51 LED's of light can be overpowering in shallow water. 			<description><![CDATA[ <font size="4">OK, here's a question to all of you out there.&nbsp; What would be the best thing to use for a net handle that could be maybe 18 feet long, light weight, but still maintain it's ridigity to withstand the rigors of dipping shrimp.<br><br>I took my standard hoop net and added an 8 foot piece of electrical 1" emt that slipped very nicely onto the handle.&nbsp; I then used bolts and wingnuts.&nbsp; It held up fine when dipping from the New Smyrna Pier, but as strong as I am, it whipped my butt.&nbsp; My dad suggested I look into bamboo.<br><br>What do you guys think?</font> ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Cap'n Ron's DIP Net Fence ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I agree that Rons net fence is great for boat use, I have experienced those jumpers from a boat. But<br>I don't seem to get as many from the pier,dont know why<img src="http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-confused005.gif" height="15" width="37">. Most times that extra space in the<br>hoop allows me to slide them bugs about 1foot into the net and then due to the height of the pier<br>from the water I just pull the net straight up and this locks them in, I've noticed many of them<br>actually flip the opposite way and shoot straight into the end of the sock. If your in a boat GET <br>the fence, on a pier, not so sure! 			<description><![CDATA[ Does anybody know if research has been done on the colors that shrimp can see? &nbsp;I've often wondered if there was a color that the human eye could see that the shrimp eye couldn't. &nbsp;If so, it might be a good color shrimp light. &nbsp;I'm thinking colors on the extreme of the spectrum would be likely candidates, red or purple. &nbsp;Red might pose some problems in deeper water as the water absorbs that wavelength pretty quickly though. ]]></description>

He will&nbsp; custom make a kids net with 6 foot handle and smaller hoop for $40.00 <br><br>Ron also said to anyone in this community he will add a fence to your adult net for $25 while you wait at the flea market. I strongly urge everyone if you can afford to, to add the fence to keep the jumbo's from flipping out. The fence makes a huge difference.<br><br>Ron can also&nbsp; make a 2 piece pole for anyone that has transport problems in their boats.<br><br>Lastly, if you own an Ron O'Brien dip net you will notice it is NOT tapered. This allows the shrimp to crawl up the net. Sometimes a couple more shakes settle them to the bottom. 			<description><![CDATA[ Here is a new twist on dip nets. I just picked up this net from Ron O'Brien who exhibits every SUNDAY at the Oak Hill Flea market between 7:30am and 1pm. He is the brilliant gent who invented the collapsible frame net which will be the prize for the on-line shrimp tournament from April to May 15th.<br><br>This is my NEW net, and it is the power dipper net. This hoop has a 4 inch mesh net fence and you can see this fence by looking for the green circle of thread. This keeps ShrimpZilla from rimming the net and jumping out. The current will open the sock and will leave this 4" fence in place to keep the shrimp from crawling out or back flipping out.<br><br>It is a border of sorts inside the hoop attached to the aluminum hoop. It irks me when the jumbo's rim and jump out of the net. This was designed to stop the loss of the 'Zilla&nbsp; who pulls a rim shot back to freedom.<br><br>Yes, the dipping opening is smaller when you have a fence.
